Production
The crenox factory with its production capacity of 107,000 tonnes per year is among the largest titanium dioxide production plants in the world using the proven sulphate process.
During the production of titanium dioxide, approx. 25 percent sulphuric acid, so-called dilute acid, is produced. This is completely reprocessed in our own recycling plant and subsequently returned to the production process.
In addition, iron sulphate monohydrate, iron sulphate heptahydrate (Copperas), iron oxide, sulphuric acid and oleum are produced at the Krefeld-Uerdingen site.
