crenox: Titanium dioxid demand explodes
positive “K-fair” résumé / Full capacity utilization at crenox well into 2012
Krefeld, November 25th, 2010.crenox, a leading producer of Titanium dioxide products looks back on a very positive “K-fair”. The Krefeld based specialty Chemicals producer reports an all time high in visitor numbers at its stand, despite the ca. 10% decline in the absolute number of “K-fair” visitors.
„The increased interest is mirrored in the extreme demand growth”, said crenox’ general manager, Stefan Schaap. “We could currently sell much more than we can produce.” crenox therefore fully expects to see full utilization of its plant well into 2012.
Strong demand growth is not regionally restricted, rather is manifest worldwide. crenox observed steady demand growth in Europe, the Americas as well as in Asia during the “K-fair”. India was particularly over represented, presumably due to the very limited domestic TiO2 production capacity – in strong contrast to the other Asian boom market, China. Furthermore, it was remarkable that not only plastics customers, but also coatings, paper and specialties customers that would not normally be expected at an exclusively plastics oriented fair, visited the crenox booth.
