TRONOX becomes crenox
Administrator Stock: „A clear sign for a new orientation"Krefeld, May 12th, 2010. The Uerdingen, Germany based specialty chemicals producer Tronox Pigments GmbH has changed its name. As of immediately, the internationally renowned producer of white pigments and specialty products will operate under the new name of „crenox GmbH".
„The new name ‚crenox' signifies the relaunch of the company", crenox insolvency administrator Eberhard Stock emphasized. After going into insolvency over a year ago the company has been turned around and is now operating very successfully. Indeed, 40 new people were employed in the past year in order to enable the company to meet the strongly growing demand. Mere weeks ago the company announced full order books and production capacity is fully utilized. Sales volumes increased year on year by over 80%, a situation that is currently forecasted to continue in the coming quarters.
Crenox GmbH currently employs around 550 people.
The name „crenox" was chosen as it connects the location (Krefeld-Uerdingen) with the product name (Titanium dioxide) and simultaneously emphasizes continuity. A newly developed corporate design accompanies the name change. The new name stems from a poll which was initiated by management and works council and enthusiastically supported by the workforce in which employees were encouraged to present their suggestions.
The completely redesigned new website is due to go online in the next few weeks under www.crenox.com (English) and www.crenox.de (German) respectively.
Nothing changes for crenox customers as a consequence of the name change. Merely the name has been changed. The company as such continues unchanged and all current contracts will be honoured in full.
