crenox T-R is added to ceramic materials such as Al2O3 or ZrO2 to improve the mechanical or thermal characteristics. It is further used for the production of extremely tough aluminium titanates and is an important raw material in the production of titanium carbides, titanium tungsten carbides and titanium borides which possess extreme hardness and a high degree of resistance against abrasion.
crenox types not listed under electroceramics and ceramics may, in individual cases, nevertheless be used successfully for this purpose. Our Technical Sales Service department will be happy to help you find the appropriate crenox type for your application.
